Mark the area and what needs to stay
Describe the area you are considering, the vegetation involved and any trees, garden features or structures to retain. Existing plans or marked photos can help explain the job, but boundaries and conditions should be confirmed before work starts.
Explain the next use of the site
A garden change, access project or development can call for a different finish. Include any requirements supplied by your builder, designer or council so they can be considered in the scope.
Discuss access and material handling
Share the entry points, gates, slopes, nearby structures and any known restrictions. Ask how vegetation, timber and stumps will be handled and which parts of the work are included.
Approvals come before clearing
Clearing can be affected by vegetation protection, development conditions and other property requirements. Confirm the approvals relevant to your land with the responsible authority. Do not assume a cleared site is automatically approved for development.
